Dr. Nazeer cares for patients with hormone and gland disorders, including adrenal and pituitary disorders, PCOS (now called PMOS), low testosterone, and calcium and parathyroid disorders.

Overview

About hormone & gland disorders care

Endocrine glands release hormones that regulate energy, stress response, growth, reproduction and mineral balance. When a gland makes too much or too little hormone, the effects can be felt throughout the body, and the cause is not always obvious without testing.

Dr. Nazeer cares for adrenal and pituitary disorders, PCOS (now called PMOS), low testosterone, and calcium and parathyroid disorders, with first visits in person at our Plano office and telehealth available for many follow-up visits.

What we treat

Hormone and gland care includes

  • Adrenal disorders

Conditions affecting the adrenal glands, which produce cortisol, aldosterone and adrenaline.

  • Pituitary disorders

The pituitary is often called the master gland. Its disorders can affect many other hormones.

  • PCOS (now called PMOS)

Polycystic ovary syndrome, recently renamed polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome. A common hormonal and metabolic condition that can cause irregular periods, excess androgen and insulin resistance.

  • Low testosterone

Reduced testosterone production, which can affect energy, mood, muscle and sexual health.

  • Calcium and parathyroid disorders

The parathyroid glands regulate calcium. Too much or too little calcium affects bones, kidneys and nerves.
