Obesity is a chronic medical condition shaped by genetics, hormones, metabolism and environment, not simply willpower. Medical weight management treats it the way other chronic conditions are treated: with a proper evaluation, evidence-based options and follow-up.
Dr. Nazeer is board certified in Obesity Medicine. Medical weight loss here includes GLP-1 and other anti-obesity medications, with first visits in person at our Plano office and telehealth available for many follow-up visits.

Who is a candidate for anti-obesity medication?
Eligibility depends on factors such as body mass index and related health conditions, and it is decided together with your physician at a visit. Not every medication is right for every person.
Is weight management covered by insurance?
Coverage varies widely by plan and by medication. Our office can help you understand what your plan may cover, and you can also check directly with your insurer.
Can I be seen by telehealth?
Your first visit is in person at our Plano office, where Dr. Nazeer examines you and builds your plan with you. Telehealth is available for many follow-up visits, and our office will let you know which type of visit fits.
Do I need a referral?
Some insurance plans require a referral to see a specialist and others do not. Check with your plan, or call our office and we will help you find out.
