Overview
About thyroid care
The thyroid is a small gland at the front of the neck that produces hormones controlling metabolism, energy and body temperature. When it makes too little or too much hormone, or develops nodules, it can affect how you feel day to day.
Dr. Nazeer cares for hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, Hashimoto's and Graves' disease, with first visits in person at our Plano office and telehealth available for many follow-up visits.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What are common signs of a thyroid problem?
Changes in energy, weight, mood, heart rate, temperature tolerance, hair or skin can all be related to thyroid hormone levels. These symptoms have many possible causes, so testing is how a thyroid problem is confirmed.
I was told I have a thyroid nodule. Is that serious?
Most thyroid nodules are not cancerous, but they should be evaluated. Dr. Nazeer can review your imaging and lab results and recommend whether monitoring or further testing is needed.
Can I be seen by telehealth?
Your first visit is in person at our Plano office, where Dr. Nazeer examines you and builds your plan with you. Telehealth is available for many follow-up visits, and our office will let you know which type of visit fits.
Do I need a referral?
Some insurance plans require a referral to see a specialist and others do not. Check with your plan, or call our office and we will help you find out.
